Recently, Superintendent Hissong was named District II Superintendent of the Year by the Indiana Association of Public Schools Superintendents and honored by the EACS Board of School Trustees for receiving this honor!
Superintendent Hissong was given this very prestigious award because of her emphasis on student learning, student achievement and has demonstrated meeting student needs. This is the most prestigious award for Indiana school district superintendents, and an honor bestowed upon her by her peers. She always advocates on the behalf of students and public education. She always works to continually improve administrative knowledge and skills; she’s involved in area, state, and national professional organizations; she encourages professional growth among members of the administrative team and motivates others to advocate for students and schools.
Superintendent Hissong is also in the running for the Indiana State Superintendent of the Year which will be announced at the Indiana Association of Public-School Superintendents at the Fall conference on September 25, 2023!
