Dear East Allen County Schools Families,

Our Spring sports are beginning. It will be great to watch our students compete in Track & Field, Golf, Baseball, Softball, Tennis, Soccer, musicals, concerts, plays, and Scholastic Writing, and Art competitions.

As Spring Break approaches, the Board and I understand that quality time with family is very important. We respectfully ask that parents honor our vacation dates and not take their students out of school for extra time to extend the break. Honoring instructional time is extremely important since instructional time in the classroom with the teacher is a critical component of improving student academic achievement.

Thank you to everyone for your great support of the Riley Children’s Hospital cause as we continue to exceed our District goal each year! We have EACS families who receive services from Riley Children’s Hospital.

Finally, here are some important dates:

- March 3 – IREAD-3 Testing Window Opens for 2nd and 3rd Grade Students

- March 9 – Daylight Saving Time Begins

- March 17 – Inservice Has Been CANCELED

- March 28 - April 6 – Spring Break (No school)
