Dear East Allen County Schools Families,

It’s officially spring by the calendar! We are getting our typical weather for spring so please make sure that your child is dressed for the weather. As a reminder, students will go outside for recess and many times for physical education classes.

Please encourage your child to put forth his/her best effort on the State Assessments. Performance on these state standardized assessments provide feedback to students, parents, and staff on student mastery on the Indiana Academic Standards The testing window for ILearn (Grades 3-8) opens on April 14.

Important dates:

-Spring Break – Now through Sunday, April 6 (Enjoy time with your family and friends.)

-The last official day of school for students - Wednesday, May 21

-Graduation ceremonies (held at the Memorial Coliseum):

o Saturday, May 3 @ 2:00 PM (Associate’s Degree) at Vincennes University

o Wednesday, May 28 @ 7:00 PM – Woodlan High School

o Thursday, May 29 @ 7:00 PM – East Allen University

o Friday, May 30 @ 7:00 PM – Leo High School

o Saturday, May 31 @ 2:00 PM – Heritage High School

o Saturday, May 31 @ 7:30 PM – New Haven High School
